Description
The publishing subsidiary of a not-for-profit membership organisation
wanted to increase its sales revenues and profits by providing
subscription fulfilment services to external clients.
Assignment Objective
Determine the organisation’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities
and threats and, as a consequence, propose a new business strategy
which would provide additional sales revenue growth.
Organisation D
Description
An association published a weekly newspaper for traders in its
industry. Sales revenues were declining and member subscriptions
were expected to cover the trading deficits. The trade association
felt unable or unwilling to change the situation but member
subscriptions could no longer support the losses.
Assignment Objectives
1. Define a new business strategy which would allow the company to
grow and generate profits again
2. Recommend changes to the company's working methods, policies and
